Edinburgh Bitter Aperitivo:

Edinburgh Bitter Aperitivo is definitely made the Old Poison way.

We take a neutral grain spirit, which is infused with 18 ingredients.

Blending a mix of herbs, fruits and botanicals.

The resultant spirit has a big hit of citrus from organically grown Neapolitan oranges and lemons.

Burdock and cherry bark provide the bitterness, while the hibiscus flower gives this delightful Aperitif its natural red colour.

An Aperitivo that perfectly balances sweet and bitter, making it incredible versatile in a range of drinks.

Tasting Notes:

Nose

Sweet bursts of aroma from zesty Italian oranges and lemons, dark fruits and light florals.

Palate

Wonderfully sticky sweet from citrus, notes of darker fruit, deeply complex from its use of herbs, with an underlying bitterness.

Finish

A delightfully marriage of flavours that lasts long in the mouth with as you would expect that deeply dry bitter note on the finish.

Perfect Serve:

Try Edinburgh Bitter Aperitivo in a Negroni with equal parts Gin and Dry Vermouth, mixed and served over ice to chill and garnished with a twist of orange.
