Mad City Botanical Rum:
As a company, we’re on a mission: to take materials that would be otherwise be discarded and repurpose them to create something entirely new and delicious. The base spirit for Mad City is 100% Fairtrade certified rum made from sugar cane molasses, a natural by-product of the sugar industry from four of the best rum producing countries in the world; Jamaica, Guyana, Dominican Republic and Barbados.
Our White Botanical Rum is a unique, category-defying spirit with a flavour like no other thanks to its complex botanical recipe and quality base rum blend.
Mad City is distilled in England with 25 botanicals to enhance and invigorate the natural characteristics of the rum, including Coffee, Coconut, Papaya, Cherry, Lime Peel, Sweet Orange, Bitter Orange, Rosemary, Coriander Seed, Allspice, Cassia Bark, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Cloves, Nutmeg, Vanilla Pods, Cacao Nibs, Ginger Root, Tonka Bean, Molasses, Liquorice Root, Lapsang Souchong, Cubeb, Hibiscus Tea and Vetiver Root.
Tasting Notes:
Nose
Chocolatey with citrus and tropical fruit alongside both herbal and spice notes.
Palate
Soft mocha with citrus and tropical fruits, vanilla, warm spice, pecan and notes of dried flowers
Finish
Deep and complex from sweet fruit and herbs the notes marry well with a long piquant finish from spice and warming ginger.

Rum and Ginger
40ml of Mad City Botanical Rum poured over ice, 10ml of Rosso Vermouth, topped with ginger ale and garnished with fresh lime

Continuing with their mission to utilise surplus, Mad City is made from sugar cane molasses, a natural by-product of the sugar industry.
Rums are sourced and blended from Jamaica, Guyana, Dominican Republic and Barbados.
Back at the distillery the blend is infused and distilled with a list of botanicals the length of most distillers arms.
This unique blend of botanicals were chosen not just to permeate their own flavour, but more over to enhance the flavours naturally present in the rum.
The resultant palate is one of incredible complexity and depth.
Rich with notes of chocolate and coffee with a nutty undertone.
The richness is balanced with a lightness of citrus and tropical fruits with a carpet of herbaceous botanicals playing out in the background.
A rum that is definitely "mad" with its use of botanicals, but one that will certainly stand out in a crowd.
