Marmalade Old Tom Gin
Marmalade Old Tom Gin:
The One Made For Toasting
A favourite treat of Anne Boleyn and her ladies in waiting, marmalade has long been a British breakfast tradition.
We’ve taken the archetypal flavour of the Seville orange and distilled it with a gorgeous combination of botanicals, infused more Seville Orange peel and then added a slight sweetness to create a citrus-forward, contemporary gin built on the backbone of British tradition.
Old Tom Gin, as a style, is a little sweeter than a London Dry.
This is no exception, but not too sweet to put off the gin purists out there.
We have upped the ante on our dry gin with added Seville orange peel, a little star anise and some liquorice root at the point of distillation; we’ve then infused the gin with traditional marmalade for two weeks and brought the ABV down to 40% with hand squeezed orange juice.
The result is a smooth, citrus forward gin with rounded mouthfeel.
