Darkside Coastal Gin:
Darkside, from the term given to the Wirral Peninsula by visitors (usually from Liverpool) who cross over to the 'dark side' of the River Mersey to visit quaint seaside towns and villages during summer.
Darkside Gin is our signature spirit, inspired by our coastal foraging heritage and made with fresh, natural, seaside botanicals that include sea beet, chickweed and red clover.
An all-natural amber hue reflects the traditional method of skilful cold-compounding, lending a full-bodied mouthfeel and distinctively complex savoury taste of the sea.
Darkside is the recipient of international accolades for quality from the world's spirit experts at the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Tasting Notes:
Nose
Earthy woody juniper and coastal herbal aromatics, with wisps of smoke and violet
Palate
Resinous pine, savoury, leafy, deeply herbaceous with a building sweetness.
Finish
Smooth, long, dry with warming spice.
Perfect Serve:
Serve over ice with a Mediterranean tonic, with a sprig of thyme and wedge of orange to garnish.
