Palate
Dry, cleansing cracked black pepper piney finish with faint liquorice.
Finish
The finish continues with strong pine from juniper, and a pleasing warmth.
Perfect Serve:
Pour over plenty of ice with a premium Indian Tonic Water, garnished with fresh lime or ginger
The Spirits Hub Review:
An outstanding "ultra" London Dry, of the most beautiful balance.
The Black Edition contains botanicals, coriander, angelica, birch, orange peel, meadow sweet, lime, ginger, liquorice root, hibiscus and juniper.
Obviously being a particularly good gin the juniper is not masked and shines through.
On the nose you are met with earthy juniper, a sweetness of cut grass, a faint woodiness and light herbal florals.
To the taste the palate remains clean, balanced with a faint note of dark fruit, light citrus and warming ginger.
The finish is pleasing with warmth from back notes of pepper and spice, with juniper still being carried through without having to fight to find a presence.
A gin true to its roots and one that plays a nod to what's written on the bottle, "true gins are like diamonds, precious and rare"
